Body Contouring

Liposculpture

Liposculpture is a simple procedure to perform. However, to get that beautiful, smooth result you need a surgeon with a high level of skill and technical ability. Cannulae are put under the skin and attached to suction apparatus to remove unwanted fat.

"I have been going to the gym for the last 5 years but just couldn't get rid of those saddle bags. After my liposuction I have a new, more youthful shape and I can wear anything in my wardrobe and feel fantastic."

Satisfied Client

Liposculpture can be used anywhere on the body and is particularly popular on the tummy, thighs, arms and buttocks. Dr Flood performs liposculpture as a day stay procedure, usually under a light anaesthetic. A compression garment is worn for about 4 weeks after the procedure, which will help support your new shape.

Most of Dr Flood's patients return to work 3-7 days after and there may be some slight bruising or swelling for a few weeks.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

This procedure involves the removal of redundant skin & fat on the tummy. The abdominal muscles are sutured to help create a firmer appearance.

It is done under a general anaesthetic and you usually spend two nights in hospital. Drains are used and usually removed after about five days. Recovery is usually a few weeks and you can then return to work and normal activities.

You will have a compression garment on when you wake up and this will stay on for the next few weeks to help with contouring. A scar will be made below your bikini line across your lower abdomen. Dr Flood recommends his scar fade regimen which includes massage and cream for 3-6 months. This will give you the best possible scar.

Fat Injections

Fat injections or autologous fat transplantation is an excellent technique for facial and body contouring. The fat is usually aspirated from the patient's abdominal wall or around their knees. The aspirated fat is centrifuged, condensed, and re-introduced at different sites to even out skin depressions, fill unwanted creased and smooth irregularities of soft tissues. Fat injections have been used in face lifts to plump out the nasolabial folds. Fat injections have been used to fill the upper lips to give a 'Paris look'. Fat injections can be used for the correction of depressed scars and to revise contour irregularities secondary to liposuction.
